"Knowledge cannot be bombed"
We are at war...again
Due to greed and the addiction to money, military contractors, corporations that benefit from chaos and the control of resources in other countries and the majority in Congress who have abdicated their responsibility to demand a president receive approval to go to war, we are at it again, spending money we don't have in the trillions for wars we never win to the detriment of our own country.
I don't think I need to go through the litany of what Americans want and need, it's a long list and yet leadership simply ignores the people, and in Congress, they shun their own constituents.
It seems the welfare of Israelis outweighs the needs of Americans.
According to Seymour Hersh, who seems to have predicted it almost to the day, in an article published on June 19, wrote the Iranian targets will "not be struck until the weekend".
"The delay has come at Trump's insistence because the president wants the shock of the bombing to be diminished as much as possible by the opening of Wall Street trading on Monday".
Let that sink in.
There is the concern that military troops in the region are vulnerable because we have bases everywhere the US can possibly build one.
The US has at least 40,000 troops in West Asia, otherwise known as the Middle East.
There are US bases and military facilities in Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as Greece and Turkey.
This map was published on the Council of Foreign Affairs website and shows where American troops are located.
"Knowledge cannot be bombed"
The above quote is from the senior advisor in Iran, Mahdi Mohammadi.
Since my last post, and actually while the US military was reportedly bombing three nuclear installations in Iran (waiting for photos as confirmation), Iran continued to bomb targets such as the Microsoft headquarters in Tel Aviv, (Yes, Microsoft is an active part of the genocide in Gaza, providing AI services to the IDF and providing Microsoft Azure to the Israeli military for intelligence gathering and supporting military applications like the "target bank" used in Gaza.) bombing all six of the oil refineries out of commission and causing the closure of two ports so far.
Estimates are about 1/3 of Tel Aviv has been damaged or destroyed.
Maersk, Samsung and Intel, among other companies, have backed out of doing business with Israel at this time.
Estimates are 500,000 to 1 million Israelis have fled their state while those in Iran flooded the streets of Tehran on Friday after the Israeli attacks showing solidarity with their military, their leader and their country.
If you listened to Netanyahu, you would think, as he says, that Israel has control of the airspace in Israel and Iran, (I'm laughing while I type this.) but it's obvious they don't. They want the US, particularity trump, to think it will take just one round of bombs upon Iran and the war will be over because, well, they have everything else under control.
Others beg to differ.
Jon Elmer, with Electronic Intifada (another recommended website on news in the Middle East with a weekly broadcast), in his latest report, shows the devastation caused by Iranian missiles last week.
And Skwawkbox never comes up short when it comes to the most recent videos.
Retired Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson is someone I respect and admire for his candor and knowledge when it comes to the consequences of US military involvement in the world. In this video he talked to Chris Hedges in November, 2024 about a potential US war with Iran.
While we wait for confirmation of what actually occurred during the bombing of nuclear related sites in Iran, I recommend following these individuals and news outlets. They provide up to the minute and solid information and analysis on what is happening in the world in terms geopolitics.
Free Palestine TV (FPTV) is run by an attorney who lives in Lebanon and gives great on the ground reports on what is happening in Lebanon and the surrounding area. He also interviews professors, analysts, students and everyday people on what is happening and their thoughts on what is happening around them.
Glenn Diesen is a professor at the University of South-Eastern Norway and Associate Editor at Russia in Global Affairs. His focus is on geoeconomics, conservatism, Russian foreign policy and Greater Eurasia and he interviews a variety of experts on the subject of geopolitics..
Nima on Dialogue Works also has great guests and allows them time to lay out their views and knowledge in their fields related to geopolitics.
Drop Site News is founded by two journalists, Jeremy Scahill and Ryan Grim, both of who I have followed for years. Recently they came together and created a great news site on politics and world affairs. They can be found on YouTube.
That's it for now.
Once we find out what actually happened during trump's greatly touted bombing campaign, I'll be back on.
Until then, take care.
